Everyone loves Lego! When we were younger, most of us spent hours building castles or racing cars with the colourful blocks. Lego is as popular with children now as it was in the past, despite technological advances, and it makes for a perfect party theme.
So what are the essential elements of throwing the perfect Lego party?
Costumes
These can be as simple as Lego T-shirts that can be bought at many children's stores. If you want to take it to the next level, you can even find instructions for making Lego characters or large cardboard blocks online.
Decorations
The Lego characters are really easy to recreate out of basic household items. You could make a Lego Batman out of multicoloured balloons or print out some block patterns on A4 paper, stick them on old shoeboxes and stack them up with your children's supervision!
Cake
This one is super easy. Most cake shops are aware of the Lego craze and offer predesigned cakes. Even if they don't, all you need is to do a quick search for templates. Your children will love helping you come up with the perfect design!
Games
Lego themed games are simple to set up. One example is a scavenger hunt where the children search for characters and blocks in the garden, then they have a competition to see who can build the best house. You could have a 'pin the head on the Lego guy' or make a piƱata that looks like one of the Lego characters. Instead of pass the parcel, you could have pass the Lego brick.
Food
The basic element in Lego is a block. Your normal party food cut into blocks and then stacked up is a great start. You could serve crisps or popcorn in a large Lego head. There are even recipes of Lego brownies or cupcakes on the internet.
Invitations
We have the perfect lego party invitation designs for a Lego party. We even have lego party banners to match. These are both easily personalised and can be dispatched on the same day, if ordered before 10am.
If you want to host the perfect party, Lego is the way to go!
