Superman

Superman is the classic idea of a superhero and is an easy costume to recreate for a fancy dress party. Combine blue leggings and a blue long sleeved top or buy a blue body stocking. Put on a pair of red pants over the top and use a piece of red fabric for the cape. Create or buy a stencil for the chest logo and use fabric paint to put it on.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is sure to be a popular costume choice as there has just been a movie released where she features as the main character. To make this super easy costume yourself, simply combine some long red boots, blue shorts and a red crop top. You can buy a gold tiara or create her crown by using cardboard wrapped in gold craft foil.

Batman

Batman is another great costume that’s easy to recreate at home. Simply get black clothes and combine with a bat-shaped mask and black fabric for a cape and you’re good to go. Cut out a bat shape from black cardboard or paper and attach it to the chest to make the logo.

Storm

Storm from X-men is another popular superhero and the costume is also easy to make yourself. Black women’s body stockings are available at most fancy dress supply stores or just wear thin black trousers and a t-shirt. Attach a silver scarf as a belt and use some black dressmaking fabric for a cape.
