4 of this year's biggest wedding trends

Summer is almost here, and that means wedding season will soon be upon us!

So if you're stuck in the throes of wedding party planning the first thing to do is send out your wedding invitations to let your guests know about your big day. Next you may need a few finishing touches that will guarantee a big impact on your big day, here are a few of this year's wedding trends for you to feast your eyes over.

1. The doughnut wall

Forget rows of multi-coloured macaroons, this year it's all about the doughnut wall. An ideal addition to the evening buffet table, guests who want a break from dancing can wander over to the doughnut wall and stop for a snack. You could choose icing that will match your colour scheme, or opt for an array of your favourite flavours. Either way, a doughnut wall makes for an eye-catching display that's sure to turn heads.

2. Chalkboard signs

Although the rustic charm of a chalkboard sign lends itself well to a barn or beach wedding, it wouldn't look out of place at a hotel or manor house ceremony either. Write a little ditty in loopy writing to let your guests know where they should sit, or use your chalkboard to display your table plan. You could even have chalkboard-style place cards on your wedding breakfast tables.

3. Trees and greenery

Whether you use trees as table centrepieces or you want them lining the aisle, incorporating greenery into your wedding celebration is a must if you're getting married this year. You could keep the branches bare if you're going for a more natural look, or if you like all things sparkly, why not adorn them with fairy lights or floating orbs? By the way, tiny trees would make the most unique party favours.

4. The colour 'nude'

Not sure what colour scheme to base your wedding around? Well nude is oh-so-hot right now. From napkins to bridesmaid dresses and even flowers, this subtle shade is perfect for creating an ultra-sophisticated look. Some 2017 brides have dispensed with tradition altogether by opting to wear a nude dress on their special day - why not do the same?
